powered parachute powerchute

Building powerchutes for working Americans

505-717-7162

$11295.00

Ready to fly. Complete with chute, engine and prop. Just add gas and fly :)

The standard USA-1b easily makes FAR 103 weight and requires no license to fly

the USA-1B shown above has optional wheels/tires/instruments/poly seat/dual tanks/3-blade prop and Rotax 503 engine

options are described below

The USA-1b was designed to fly wonderfully with a 32-55 horsepower 2 cycle engine. Contrary to what you may have read on the internet, it does not take a large, expensive engine to fly a heavy pilot on a hot summer day. All it takes is a properly designed powerchute.

With the optional Rotax 503 engine even 350+ pound pilots can fly and enjoy great performance.

The USA-1b was long term flight tested with the Rotax 447 and 503 engines. All of the engines tested produced great thrust (that's what gets you into the air, not horsepower) and perfect reliability.

We utilize zero-timed Rotax 447 engines as standard equipment on the USA-1B. These engines will lift a 200+ pound pilot on a hot day.

The price for a ready-to-fly USA-1B is  $11295.00

Please note that for 2010 this powerchute comes with a Rotax gearbox instead of the belt drive that is shown in the photos.

We do not include any instrumentation on the USA-1b but do offer it as an option. We will also gladly provide you with phone numbers where you may purchase your own instrumentation if you'd like to install them yourself.

The USA-1b comes with rigid suspension as do 99.9% of all ultralight aircraft. Ultralight aircraft do not require expensive, heavy shock suspension, or for that matter, any suspension at all. They only require a warm body at the controls with an I.Q. slightly above room temperature :)

If someone tells you that suspension is required to properly land a powerchute, run the other way quickly. He's really telling you that he has no idea of how to land a powerchute.

The $11295.00 USA-1b comes with :

new all steel airframe, welded by professional aircraft welders

new  Performance Design 360' or 400' chute, storage bag and line sox

new  68" two blade Ivoprop (on the smaller engines)

new Azusa wheels and 400x6 rib tires

reliable manual start zero-timed Rotax 447 engine

The USA1-b airframe is available in black, white, red, or blue.

Oh, and did I mention that the USA-1b will fit into the back of any pickup (even imports) with the tailgate down? You don't need a trailer.

The  "USA-1b" sells for $11295.00 fully assembled and ready to fly

shipping is available anywhere in the lower 48 states for an additional fee

The standard USA-1b will lift a 200+ pound pilot on the hottest summer day.
